Liberty Bank Comments & Questions

Since starting this website we have told lots of our friends and family about our experience.  Not because we were trying to hold a grudge but it would just come out as the first thing on our mind when a person would ask what is new and we would say “Listen to what Liberty Bank is doing now”.

Not only have we told a lot of people about our experience but we have got a lot feedback and comments back from people who have dealt with Liberty Bank for one reason or another.  I want to dedicated this post to all the people that have given us comments and have asked some pretty telling questions about Liberty Bank over the last couple years that we have been involved with.

So, here are the comments and questions we can remember from people we were working with at the time of our Liberty Bank Story.  I don’t have their permission yet to use their name or business so I only am stating their position in the real estate industry.

I will add more to this list as I remember more of these comments from people and as people tell me more.  If you want your comment to be added to this list please email us at nightmare@libertybankstory.com or just comment on this post below.

LibertyBank Gets Corrected

Many of you have seen how LibertyBank has responded to my posts about my credit problems with them.  Well I thought I would finally get around to fixing the problem myself.  It has been almost a year since we refinanced and I went and got my Free Annual Credit report which everyone can do each year for free and there it was on my Equifax report still.  A second mortgage that was still open for over $28,000 saying that we owed most of that in full to Liberty Bank.

The account was open and LibertyBank was still reporting that we were paying on it for some reason.  Luckily the account was still marked current or I would have had a bigger issue with LibertyBank to fix.  So I had to go through the dispute process because I couldn’t get LibertyBank to fix this all the times that I have talked to them.  They say this account was not open well they are right.  It wasn’t open and it never existed either.  The number on this account did not match any that we ever had open.  It was a duplicate and false reporting of our credit.  I don’t know why LibertyBank’s system was still reporting us paying on it each month.

So, I went through the dispute process with Equifax filling out why I thought it was false and that they needed to investigate.  It was a pain and I wonder why I even needed to be bothered by having to do this.  I got done and I finally got my results today saying my account was closed but when I looked at my new credit report printout it still said that we had that same almost maxed out credit line out with LibertyBank but that the account had a balance still so I had to dispute it again.  I bet that they are going through the same things that I have been going through with Libertybank trying to get things done.  Anyway I’m trying to get these things off my report so I don’t look like I have quite so much credit out on my house.

Let me know if you have any tips for fixing my credit again by leaving a comment.

I’ve never been late on anything. I just have these accounts that never seem to go away.
